WH Sports are delighted to have brokered our first partnership within the energy space and align Nottingham Forest with Bulb – the UK’s fastest growing green energy supplier – in a bid to help the club go renewable.

Bulb is supplying The City Ground and the club’s Academy with 100% renewable electricity as Nottingham Forest’s official green energy partner. The partnership will shrink Forest’s carbon impact by 1,830kg every match.

The announcement is also a big win for fans, who can score £50 credit simply by switching to Bulb. Bulb offers a single, renewable tariff which is already on average £200 cheaper than standard Big Six deals. With each switch, £10 will also be donated to the Nottingham Forest Community Trust, supporting the club’s award-winning engagement work in local communities. This includes programmes to promote mental wellbeing among young people and to inspire children to realise their full potential.

Bulb will also become the official Player of the Month sponsor for Nottingham Forest. Fans can expect to see Bulb’s signature pink branding around The City Ground ahead of this weekend’s highly anticipated game against Leeds United.

David Cook, Nottingham Forest’s Chief Commercial Officer said:

“We are delighted to be forging this exciting partnership with Bulb. As a club, it is vitally important that we are always looking at ways of being environmentally responsible, and it’s great that we can now power the iconic City Ground with 100% green energy.

“Nottingham Forest has a proud history of being innovative and pioneering and Bulb have impressed us with their commitment to bring this same pioneering attitude by making renewable energy affordable for households and businesses. We look forward to working closely with Bulb to deliver on a successful partnership, and we are pleased to see how Forest in the Community will benefit from the referral scheme.”

Dan Sheldon, Head of Bulb for Business, said:

“At Bulb we believe in the power of communities as a force for good, so it’s great to see Forest making the switch. There’s a big opportunity for clubs to step up and help protect the planet.

“Bulb is currently helping over 8,000 UK businesses, organisations and communities to lower their bills and reduce their carbon emissions. There has never been a better time to join the fight against the climate crisis.”
